Kaiser Permanente announced in December 2008 that Mercy Health Center was awarded a $50,000 grant to hire their first full-time medical provider – a nurse practitioner. This will be Mercy Health Center’s first full-time medical provider. This grant will allow us to give more in-depth quality medical care as well as day time medical clinic hours in the near future.
“Kaiser Permanente has a long history of funding programs that extend good health practices beyond the doctor’s office and into the community,” said Raymond J. Baxer, Ph.D., senior vice president, Community Benefit, Research and Health Policy. “We are extremely pleased to contribute to programs nationwide that include collaborative efforts to provide quality care, support programs that improve community health and bolster our commitment to our nonprofit partners.”
