Dr. Bryson Greenwood, a North Carolina Native, started working at Mercy Health Center in 2015. After earning a liberal arts degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Greenwood traveled internationally to Budapest, Hungary, where he worked at an international cellular neuroscience laboratory; and to Lima, Peru, where he studied Spanish and met his wife Katie. After, he headed to Boston, where we worked for the health and human rights organization Partners In Health; and later to rural Georgia, where he served as a community health worker and advocate for recently immigrated refugees.
Along the way, he found his calling in family medicine, where he could combine his interests in science and social justice. He attended medical school and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and stayed to complete his residency in Family Medicine.
